June 11, 1993
On behalf of the Dutch Canoe Federation, please accept my warmest congratulations on the sixtieth anniversary of your Canoe-Camping Club. I also congratulate you on the main canoeing event on the river Thames to celebrate your club’s anniversary.
As maybe you know, this year our Dutch Canoe Federation has also existed 60 years, so 1993 must be a year of double joy.
There are many Anglo-Dutch friendships based on shared canoeing experiences over the past. Most of those friendships would not exist at all without your Canoe-Camping Club, for most of the tours in Britain, attended by Dutch canoeists, are often your rallies. Rallies with an outstanding atmosphere of companionship, an atmosphere based on a sixty years canoeing tradition that makes everybody feel at home.
There is no doubt at all, that our members will love to come to your beautiful country and to your events in future, as they all have done in the past.
I wish you a nice rally under optimum weather conditions.
Yours faithfully,
Henk W. Woudenberg, Chairman
