This trip was beyond our wildest expectations. The planning & preparation that went into this trip is mind boggling to me. It is now the last night of the trip and I am watching people that have become my friends drift away, and it makes me feel sad. I hope we have a opportunity to meet them on future international canoe trips.
I feel like I’ve had a true European holiday. It was thrilling for me to drift off to sleep at night and hearing the murmur of voices from 10 different countries. That’s quite an experience for us Yanks.

We set off on this great journey from the far lands of the upper peninsula of Michigan. driving 8 hours just to catch the plane. Here is where our journey began:
After a long flight lasting all night, we arrived in the wondrous land of England and began the best 2 week canoe trip possible – what a great way to see a slice of England; from the old villages of rural countryside to the hustle & bustle of modern London.
Many thanks for making this trip possible, and especially for the new friends we’ve made.
