The organising committee would like to thank all the members and friends who assisted with the tour: the many people who gave so generously of their time, and holidays and who worked so hard on behalf of the club.
Perhaps it’s a little unfair to single out any particular group. However special thanks to the individuals that serviced the camp sites – this was an unglamorous yet vital part of the organisation. They, as did all the rest of the team, carried out their tasks with unfailing good humour, and expertise.
Thanks also to the club members who attended. To our overseas visitors who out numbered the British and who have been so generous with their praise of the club’s effort.
Even as we begin September, a number of tasks remain to be attended to. These include a report that will be submitted to the AGM. I have also received some enquiries concerning the club’s 1994 Tour! Clearly there is considerable scope for knowledgeable members to step forward and try their hand.Dave Ball
