It was our first time paddling with such a big group. We were not sure if we would like it. But we enjoyed the easy-going atmosphere and the relaxed feel of the tour, showing that a lot of organising work went into it.
We will think back to it for the beautiful countryside, for the meeting of so many people with so little friction. Helping and being helped was a matter of course. We are glad so many people older than us joined and obviously enjoyed the tour, giving us hope for what future we have got left.
An accolade for all the helpers, from the multi-talented Colin, to Dennis and Janet, very quiet but very useful and helpful.
