A paddle of about 7 miles (12km) on a smallish river which was once a navigation but the locks have long since vanished. It is popular with anglers who tend to dispute the right of navigation if their competitions are disturbed by canoeists. It has several weirs which can be portaged. None should be shot without prior inspection. Lunch stop probably at Biggleswade just below the weir. Toilets at the garden centre at the start, but in Biggleswade none convenient as far as I know.
